Split Rock Farmhouse and Split Rock Lighthouse each offer exceptional year-round lodging for vacations,
retreats, reunions, entertaining and other special events with lengths of stay ranging from long weekends
to a month. Rent either for accommodations of up to 8, or both together for an extraordinary opportunity
for larger groups of up to 16 to enjoy the most special of occasions. Both properties are fully furnished,
and include an entertainment system, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and linens & towels.
These historic and beautiful properties are situated in the shadow of Split Rock Mountain on Lake Champlain
on the eastern edge of the Adirondack Park in upstate New York, and are near the hamlet of Essex, which is listed
on the National Register of Historic Places for having one of the most intact collections of pre-Civil War
architecture. At the foot of Split Rock Mountain, the lake's second tallest, lies Split Rock Island, one of the
lake’s most prominent geographic features that also marks the north-south midway point on the 6th largest fresh
water lake in the United States.
And the Adirondack Park is the largest wilderness area east of the Mississippi River and north of the Florida
Everglades. It includes 46 picturesque mountains in excess of 4,000 feet in elevation, and hundreds of lakes,
streams, and rivers, including the Ausable, considered the east coast’s finest fly fishing river.
It is here, nestled between the majestic Adirondack Mountains and beautiful Lake Champlain where Split Rock
Lighthouse and Split Rock Farmhouse afford unique opportunities to make some beautiful memories. We invite you
to explore further!
